I'm curios to know what people do on darkweb/darknet ?

RE: Darkweb/Darknet - Vultra - 06-25-2018

buy drugs and guns. That's all I know haha

RE: Darkweb/Darknet - Slingshot - 06-25-2018

What do people do? Well, they do a number of things. They set up fake contract killing services (none of them are actually real; they are all scams) in order to make lots of money, they host child pornography websites (some people even film their own children and post it onto these forums; I have seen it myself), they sell drugs and sell weapons, and they do many other things.

There are terrorists who communicate on the dark web, there are very strange people who are into some very strange fetishes, there are rumours of "snuff films" (films where you pay to tell someone how to torture another person; snuff films are just a myth and it is unknown if they actually exist, or have existed in the past), there are videos of fathers raping and physically harming their daughters (I saw these before), and so much more.

Never download anything on the deep web, especially the dark web. Usually, files can be FBI spyware or just plain malware in general. Also, never use JavaScript on the dark web. Always have NoScript enabled, blocking every script possible while browsing. The FBI and other agencies utilize JavaScript exploits in order to catch people on the dark net. So, for a simple rule of thumb: Don't give anything to the dark net, and don't take anything from the dark net. Don't buy guns and drugs, as there is always the chance of you getting caught. Don't give your personal information (or any information at all to anybody), and don't download anything or execute any scripts.

I suggest all users take this strictly under advisement.

JavaScript Is responsible for an array of data disclosure (device, personal or otherwise). Examples Include, location (browser's built-In geo location feature), operating system, cross-browser fingerprinting on an OS & hardware level, connection (ISP, connection type, Internal/external IPs), social media/login accounts and the list goes on. On their own, they have little relevance but collectively formulating all Information at hand, an Identity can be built from the ground up- being your profile/fingerprint.

It's like your family name, given name and date of birth. On their own, they serve no purposes. Combine the lot, and that's your fingerprint.

Thank you @"Mimiakira-chan" , @Slingshot , and @mothered for providing information as well as safety tips.

I have a query related to JS. Why it is still being used by many websites, email services , chat services , etc in spite of having so many vulnerabilities that could cause harm?
And what can one do to prevent if using JS is the only option to access?

JavaScript Is supported by all major browsers and works hand In hand (as needed) with websites. To name a few uses, animated webpages, webpage Interactivity, search boxes, registration/sign-up forms and a lot more.

It's also responsible for an array of Information gathering, such as browser type & version, operating system used, hardware specifications, location, login types, connection type (ISP, Internal/external IP addresses) and the list goes on. Only use JavaScript as needed and make sure It's utilized on reputable services. If unsure, use a VM during your navigation online.

I’d like to add some things too

Most “organised whistleblowers” work on the dark net in group.
People drop ship gun parts which are allowed by customs as decorative pieces and they 3D print or CNC the rest to make unregistered guns.
Jailbait porn
Rent-a-hacker
(I’ll keep adding as I get them)
