returning different item - amazon - zappapt - 06-12-2018

Hi,

wondering if it would be doable to order a repackaged ps4 pro from warehouse deals and return an OG PS4.

weight would be slightly different (less 0.5kg) and slightly affraid as well that if it goes wrong, they would go with the method of discarding my PS4 (instead of sending it back - is this common?)

Thanks in advance.

They have no right to withhold your Item.

You simply say you were In a rush, and sent back the Incorrect Item- as both were adjacently placed and the wrong Item was selected & returned.

In that case, I should not return it on the basis of wrong item received, right? "Not as described" might be a better option.

I only had problems with CIS once when I returned a dvd box set for a fiio x5 music player. In that case at one point they said they'd be discarding the box set - that's what made me think if that couldn't happen again. Not a chance if I don't mark it as wrong item received?

How important is it for the weight to be exactly the same? Should I try filling the box a bit with foam to match the original weight?

Thanks in advance, really appreciate it!

To be on the safe side, this Is certainly the better alternative.

Given the Item registers an Identifiable weight and goods are weighed on consignment, It's of utmost Importance to match the weight.

Dry Ice does the job. The weight Is recorded during transit and upon receipt, the dry Ice would've vaporized, hence an empty box received.

So it's the item that needs to be the same weight or the package in which the item comes that needs to be roughly the same weight? (changing the external packaging for a smaller box would change the weight immediately - I'm sure it's fairly common to use different boxes when sending items, as sometimes opening a box results in damage).

I wasn't going to send an empty box with dry ice, for the purpose I was going to send a different model PS4 - which weighs 0.5kg less altogether.

Would you advise against?

Again, thanks for the help.

I still remember I bought 2 laptops 1 was cheap and other was expensive from other accounts and told them that the costly laptop (inside there was the cheap laptop) and returned it and kept the costly one and got myself a refund for it
