Amazon SE - Logistics Took a Pic of Item at my Door - SadPirate - 06-06-2018

Relatively new to SE. Title pretty much says it all, am I screwed? The package in question is a $60 game. What are my other options? The only other time I've SEd was for another low-cost item back in October '17. I haven't SEd since then and made a bunch of legit purchases. Thinking about saying they've sent me the wrong game.

A picture means nothing but problem is logistics are really tough now. Old days amazon wouldnt bat an eyelid but now logistics is tough and block accounts

So... should I still attempt a refund? I doubt saying the package never arrived will work. Perhaps I can say that they've sent me the wrong game?

You have a couple of options as follows.

But saying the "Item" never arrived (In the package) will work.

Given the game weighs next to nothing, using the (empty) box method when supposedly returning the Item will suffice.

Thanks! I'll try the first method then. I never tried the empty box method though. By empty box, do you mean leaving the game box empty or the package empty? Would it compromise my account?

The game box.

It will give the Impression that you've actually shipped the game (obviously you'll do nothing of the sort), but It was tampered with during transit, hence they'll receive an empty box. Be sure to make a small tear on the box & package and cover It with tape. This will be consistent with tampering.

Thanks! Got an easy refund by just saying the item never arrived like you said.

That's good to read.

You've now Identified one of their vulnerabilities, and can exploit It using a similar method for subsequent SEing.
