Need some help with encryption password mixed software for files - Syniquity - 05-28-2018

I recently realized that my files are rather unsecure other than being hidden i would like to encrypt them with a pass and make sure if i'm ever noticed all will be safe--

Just use full disk encryption and you won't have to worry about which files to encrypt. I recommend TrueCrypt 7.1a. You can find binaries here.

Haven't true crypt changed their name to VeraCrypt or am I thinking of someone else?

You can create an encrypted volume using VeraCrypt on the disk you wish to store your files.

If you're running the Windows platform and the Windows edition supports BitLocker encryption, for an added layer of protection, encrypt the drive on which the VeraCrypt encrypted volume Is stored. Ultimately, there will be two forms of authentication to access the files- the first being BitLocker and then via VeraCrypt.

VeraCrypt is a fork of truecrypt. I personally don't trust it after an audit was released last year.

I see, thank you for the clarification though Smile
