AppleCare+ Replacement Lost - DrNoName - 05-26-2018
Hey guys, so I found a Iphone S/N with AppleCare+, and Im about to contact the Apple Support to get a replacement for my "broken" Iphone. I was wondering if it would be better if I did it as a "spare device not in the box" or "my faulty device was stolen during shipment". I heard that if a replacement device is stolen during the transport the support would like to see an invoice from my "defective" device. Have you had such experiences?
Its a Iphone 7 256gb btw

I strongly discourage you from attempting this. You’ll be wasting your time and theirs, since they investigate thoroughly before proceeding with any claims.

The empty box method (faulty device stolen during transit) will suffice.
In the event they request the receipt, tell them you've shipped It together with the faulty device (hence both device & Invoice stolen).

Going with apple is a big company. As for Sarcrates states, I wouldn't. They will be wanting correct information on this.
