Eve Online Turns 15! - Oni - 05-07-2018

Good video: https://youtu.be/xAVIhKdspl8p

Eve Online turned 15 years old yesterday. There's very few MMOs that stay alive that many years (and I can only think of a couple).

The video Is not functional on my end.

That aside, here's a fresh article that I'm sure many members will find of Interest.

Funny, the article mentions Scooter, and we're in the same alliance. Best I did was steal a supercarrier, while evacuating my own (both worth around $300).

Now where's that Grand Theft Supercarrier picture?

I love how Eve has so much game "history". Whenever big events happen, the streamers and players always reflect back on past wars and shifts in allegiance. Awesome game.

15 years, far out. I thought the game was only couple years old like, 5 or more years. That's incredible to here.

Haven't played EVE Online in a long freakin time but its really neat that its been around this long. I only thought it had been going on for around 10. Time flies when you're having fun and playing games (pun partially intended.)

Over the years it's changed drastically (mostly for the better). I remember I quit towards the end of the Fountain war. When I returned just a few years later, many mechanics had been added/changed/removed. It's not even the same game I started playing and the political landscape is ever-changing.

It's good to know that, the game you use to play still exist and the team behind the game are still willing to improve it by many ways.
I remember when I first saw it, It looked REALLY good but, only played once or twice then got back into Runescape since, I was doing well haha.

I wonder if the game engine is the latest to enhance the performance of the games we have today like Call Of Duty, TitanFall & etc...

Runescape is one of the few MMOs as old as Eve.

Spoiler:
RS3 or OSRS?

OSRS was the go. Wasn't a huge fan of the new Runescape.
