Do u recall? - hacxx - 04-29-2018 Do you still remember the first time you started programming? A simple {title} make huge dreams, now it only takes 4 seconds to make a title but back in the day it was a huge step forward. @mothered What was your first "hello word"? Mine was with with QBasic but JavaScript is my favorite language. RE: Do u recall? - mothered - 04-30-2018 (04-29-2018, 10:32 PM)hacxx Wrote: @mothered Now this Is going back a very long time. From memory, I believe It was the starting point of PHP something to this effect: Code: <?php
echo "Testing hello world";
?>RE: Do u recall? - hacxx - 04-30-2018 @mothered You started with php? I always though that php was the server evolution of c, c++ or c#. I already did some programming in php but i dont master the code, if i pick up a piece of paper and a pen i cann't write a working program. RE: Do u recall? - Bish0pQ - 04-30-2018 For me I'd probably be Batch scripts, though my first "real" programming language was VB.NET. Switched to C# about a year later. Think my first thing I scripted was the batch matrix script. I still remember YouTube being full of these things. RE: Do u recall? - Oni - 04-30-2018 First "Hello World" I did, was likely in Python or C++. Only used PHP recently, though. RE: Do u recall? - Synthx - 04-30-2018 I remember one of the very first html pages I had ever made, and for some reason all I remember is that the links went in a downward right angle like this: \ All of the python that I know right now started from 8 lines of code: Code: passwordFile = open('SecretPasswordFile.txt')
secretPassword = passwordFile.read()
print('Enter your password.')
typedPassword = input()
if typedPassword == secretPassword:
print('Access granted')
if typedPassword == '12345':
print('That password is one that an idiot puts on their luggage.')
else:
print('Access denied')That's what inspired me to write this: https://github.com/xsynthx/folder-locker That code is from the following PDF on page 16: https://github.com/xSynthx/N.S.P.-Python Other than to grab the code from the book today, I haven't looked back at that book in over a year. RE: Do u recall? - hacxx - 04-30-2018 @Synthx That a starting point, i also had a few basic lines from where i started and develop programs. In HTML is tables... Code: <table><tr><td></td><td></td></tr></table>RE: Do u recall? - Sun0228 - 04-30-2018 I believe my first `Hello world` went like "cout << 'Hello world'". - it's C++ . |
