Logitech SE / Email after? - Scorpio - 04-12-2018
Hi everyone!
Sorry for my english btw I may do some mistake since I'm not a native speaker but I'm going to explain to you my problem, well my situation in fact
So I needed a gaming mouse and I wasn't really into the SE / Refund thing since this last week.
I found the G903 would be a pretty nice one so I bought a Serial Number from Someone and tried to email the Logitech support
No response. This was Friday
I tried to live chat them after and it failed necause they asked me to return the defective mouse (Which I hadn't ofc)
I decided to call them too on monday afternoon, I fucked up because I used a different email address but the same SN so I fucked up.
On monday I decided to try an other Serial with a different Email address, Last and first name, so I sent them an email. No response, so yesterday I decided to call them with my phone number (my legit one) - the same I used on monday since I don't know how to change my phone number and If I had too - well I had a 45 minutes call with a pleasant guy btw but he asked me some serious questions such as:
- Did you call us monday? I said no, clearly but they had me in their file even if I called for a different SN, name and email address
- He asked me to give them the last driver on the mouse - So i had to google it very quickly haha - But I didn't know they were these hard
And after this, it went fine so the guy told me I will receive a recap email and a UPS email and the replacement should come from 7 to 10 Business days
So I waited for the email but I didn't receive it so I called them back to ask if maybe I ve misspelled my email address and the woman this time told me that it was normal and the email took 1-3 business days.
So I'm still waiting and I wanted to know if it was normal?
and FYI: I received yesterday on my first email address I used a logitech email saying to try different steps but I think I just have to ignore it since it's fort the first SN which failed by phone.

I called them again and they told me to wait a bit because my case was "pending",
Does anyone know what that means?

Alright, quick update, I called them 2 minutes ago and my replacement request has been approved this morning
It took a week btw so that's why I didn't have any news from their side
I will receive the email with tracking number soon, so that's awesome

Can you explain how did you buy a serial number exactly? I've never heard of that practice, if you could give me some insight on it, it would be much appreciated.

I bought a SN from a guy who provided tons of SN, mice, keyboard, headset from Logitech
What you can also do is like watching some YouTube videos pretty recent of the product you want and look for the SN

I realize your SE has resulted In a successful outcome but for future reference, when you receive a response of this nature (or some variant), your next course of action always depends on their reply.
In short, It serves very little purpose trying to draw a conclusion based on Implications.
By the way, good work with your SE.

The only thing you can do in the meantime is just wait for their reply because the Rep told me that people actually investigate the case and give their approval for a replacement so it's not immediate I guess...
that's why SE is also about luck
Can I ask your advice for something else by the way guys?
I want to try an other thing, like the Powerplay from Logitech or a Headset but I don't want to be too greedy with this...
any advice?
i know that this time I have to use a different phone number / name / email and address I guess, I have ot figure it out why (I heard about Spoof term but I have to see more in detail)

It's good practice to wait a little while between each SE.
Provided your method Is formulated and executed accordingly and the timing Is right, you shouldn't have any Issues.

As said, It's best to wait a little while between each SE. If you hit ex-amount In close timing, It may look suspicious.
A lot of social engineering has succeeded using the very same details. It's all about your method, how effective It's prepared, formulated and executed.
