URGENT HELP - IVIemes - 03-27-2018 What do I do if a company says I need to exchange my broken item for a new one with the delivery driver? Is there anything I can tell the delivery driver to be able to get the item without giving him anything? RE: URGENT HELP - mothered - 03-27-2018 Isn't the delivery driver delivering the package (box/parcel with the goods enclosed) and not the Item per se? RE: URGENT HELP - Bish0pQ - 03-27-2018 You can always see things like that you had an exploding battery, corrosive material, bio-hazard blabla, just make sure the people don't want to take it with them. RE: URGENT HELP - Qlova - 03-27-2018 This is a classic example of the company calling your bluff. If you agree to it, they are assuming you are telling the truth and they will just send you a replacement. I have had experience with this many times while working - when we find a faulty part and ring the supplier, they tell us to give the old part to the delivery driver when he will drop off the replacement; they never ask for it and just deliver the item no problem. If the driver does actually request the item, just come up with some excuse and be confident. He will most likely believe you. RE: URGENT HELP - dax44 - 03-28-2018 Exactly what @Qlova said. I have experienced the same thing. RE: URGENT HELP - zorrophreak - 03-28-2018 I encountered this about four times, each with different companies. Two of those times the driver never mentioned it. One time, I had a plan to give him a smashed part, and actually asked if he was supposed to pick it up and he had no clue what the fuck I was talking about. The fourth time (which was actually second chronologically) he actually asked for it back and I just had to say we threw it out due to chemical hazard and he gave me the package anyways. As @Qlova said, you don't really have anything to lose so you should be okay. They mostly are just trying to test to see if you'll freak out. NEVER do this. RE: URGENT HELP - IVIemes - 03-31-2018 Thanks you all for your help. I'm not sure what I will say (if I have to say anything at all) but probably something biohazard. RE: URGENT HELP - Jubaied - 04-09-2018 damn any more biohazard excuses? need to rehearse over some lines XD RE: URGENT HELP - Playboi_Carti - 04-10-2018 Might give a box with an item with some weight to it |
