How does exploit works? - Vitas - 03-26-2018 I just want to know how does exploit works
What is the dll for?
I'am talking about an exploit when you inject a dll to a specific process and gain control. Sorry for the lack of information. RE: How does exploit works? - reGEN - 03-26-2018 I'm not sure you understand what an exploit is. Do you know what an exploit is? I don't really know I'am a beginner. Can you explain to me what an exploit is? How does exploit works? - darkn3ssmidnight - 03-26-2018 The concept is : somebody start to research about software o hardware vulnerabilities and found one or more flags is when they start to write one exploit for gain advantage about it If the exploit never was discover before is gold in the mine!! and the name for this is zero day RE: How does exploit works? - nathanaelpsp - 03-27-2018 Types of exploits Now knowing what an exploit is , we can distinguish between two types: known or unknown (0-day). The known exploits are those that are known and we can take measures to avoid seeing our affected systems. They are usually the ones that appear in the majority of security news and appear several every day, in the same way that the vulnerabilities that they try to take advantage of are appearing. For this reason, it is important that you are informed about which vulnerabilities are being exploited by exploits and verify that you have all the systems and applications updated and, in the case of an unavailable update, apply techniques that help mitigate the possible threats. Our blog is a good source of constantly updated information about faults and their patches, although there are websites specialized in identifying and reporting those that appear every day, such as Exploit Database . On the other hand, we talked about unknown exploits or 0-days, which we often see in security news . These are used on vulnerabilities that have not yet been reported to the general public and, therefore, pose a serious threat, especially if they are used in attacks directed at companies or governments. When they are used there are usually no measures that can block the malware that takes advantage of it, and that makes them practically undetectable . That is why they are highly valued among criminals, allowing them, for example, to steal important information from a company or government or, in extreme cases, attack certain types of critical infrastructure . Common use of exploits The criminals use them frequently to make their threats infect a greater number of computers , and this we have seen during the last years in those cases of threats that took advantage of vulnerabilities in Java and Adobe products. An example used in a massive way to exploit vulnerabilities is that of ransomware also known as "Police Virus" . In the successive variants that have been appearing since 2011, we have seen how criminals have exploited vulnerabilities in Java and Windows 2003 systems to infect systems and request a rescue to users for stored data -that this malware encrypts so that it does not can be recovered. Protection measures RE: How does exploit works? - Bish0pQ - 03-27-2018 It seems members have already helped you out (check the above response), but this is something you could easily find on Google or even some video's on YouTube that exploit what an exploit is, how it works, and how to write your own "exploit". Remember to always do some research and if you still don't understand, you'll be able to give out a little more information, which then again helps us so we can help you. If that makes sense. |
