Soylent SE - copscalled - 02-01-2018
For all that didn't know, Soylent is a soy-based substitute for food. They claim that is it revolutionary with all the new global warming shit.
Sooo after watching a soylent video by vice, I said fuck it, let SE them.
This is what i got.
The original email was this:
Hello, I recently was given a pack of 12 Cacao 14 oz soylent bottles as I am an avid foody, marathon runner and triathlete. I thought these would be great, considering tough times on long marathons, a simple drink would suffice for my needs, as they would be fast, and sufficient enough. I gave one a try and instantly spit it out because it had a terrible burnt creamy taste.
I thought I'd let you guys know.

They replied with this:

After this, I simply said
"As I said, I received these as a gift from another athlete, and good time friend. He now lives in China, Doing the gobi marathon.
I’m not sure of the order number"
They basically said that they need an order number, and after one more email he said "Ok, I have looked up what I can do and it seems that you are eligible for a replacement, what is your address name number ect"
I gave them my info and then they said that they cannot ship to outside the US, so I was fucked... But i continued to push and I just received my order today number, along with tracking today.

It was super fast, 10-15 mins. But it took a few days to start the response.

I find with soylent, including other companies, it may acctually be illegal for them to sell to Canada. I was surprised that they even came through with what the said and can be prosecuted for this. I was debating on using reship but it is such a large package it would cost to much.
Technology companies are far more difficult to do, in the sense of persuading them to ship outside their barriers. For example, I recently did a sleeping box (makes you sleep better” that retails for 400$ us. The SE was easy. The hard part was pushing them. After literally 50 email, I finally got what I wanted. With soylent, it was 3.
