ping driver replacement - Qlova - 01-26-2018 Few months ago I was using my Dad's driver at the range and the shaft snapped after a hard hit. It was a ping but not sure what model or whatever, but it was pretty expensive like £300-£400. If I sent them email asking for a replacement would they ask about warranty etc. and if so what could I say to still try and get a replacement? He's had it a few years so it was quite old RE: ping driver replacement - mothered - 01-26-2018 Just to clarify the purchase, was It from ping.com directly? You've mentioned this. Quote:If I sent them email asking for a replacement Who's "them?". As you can appreciate, It's hard to provide accurate advice when there's no Information to work with. I'm not sure where he got it from, it may even have been a gift - he's had it some years. I do appreciate you trying to help and I'm sorry for the lack of info, but I'm getting the driver repaired anyway and I thought this would be a good opportunity to work on my SE/refunding skills as I've actually got the driver if they ask for any photos etc. Its just the problem of warranty and receipt of purchase I'm worried about. That's fine, no need to apologize. Part of SEing Is knowing the Inner-workings of the company, Inclusive of their terms and In particular their refund/replacement policy. Exploiting the human firewall (social engineering), takes effect thereafter. Without any knowledge of the company per se, you cannot Initiate a starting point. I'll do some research before hand then and look for any cases online where people have had their broken drivers replaced and how they went about this. Please do. Research/Information gathering Is of utmost Importance. I'd contact their CS, imply the product is defective, and hope they don't require an active warranty. Not giving advice on how to do it deceptively. RE: ping driver replacement - Skryptec - 01-31-2018 I think they have a 2 year warranty, so you could check their warranty policy. This is not related to social engineering in my opinion as you legitimately have the product and trying to get it replaced because it's broken. Just try to contact them and let us know how it goes. |
