Superbugs Getting Squashed. - DarkMuse - 01-18-2018

So, in the last couple of decades, medical professionals have been running into the issue of Superbugs which are essentially virus' that have a resistance to traditional means of treatment. It's made several extremely powerful drug-resistant strains of bacteria and virus'  like methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and before that was penicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (PRSA) which is bad news if you get infected with a staph infection (common in hospitals).

Now, UV light walks in. UV light is extremely good at killing biological things but we can't really use that as a weapon as it would hurt the good bits too. The newest solution is Far-UV light. This type of UV-light only runs at about 200 nanometers in wavelength which means that it can not penetrate the skin layer of dead skin cells nor can it penetrate the eye and cause damage there. The tiny bacteria however can still be destroyed and thus we have a potential solution!

On topic In the medical sector, I wish the same can be said for cancer. When a cure Is definitive, I'd be the first to celebrate.

Upon reading this article, It demonstrates just how hard medics work towards cures and the like.

Suprebacteria are becoming a larger issue as time goes on, so it's good to have more than your standard antibiotics as treatments.

I missed that.

Given the nature of the solution, even better coming from a physicist.
