Smart home SE - shadow013 - 01-04-2018

Looking to SE a few items for smart home tech. Already have a Ring 2 on the way after basically just providing the mac id. Pretty easy to get since it's just on the box.

What are some easy companies that can be SE'd without having to do any refunds? Looking for lights mainly, but also Nest thermostat and a smart lock.

Just wondering, they didn't ask for an invoice or any POP?

I tried this, I called and asked what was required for warranty replacement. They require a MAC address and a registered email address. They will then send you a replacement however require you to send the original broken unit back. Not sure how you did this if at all.

Ring is quite easy. In addition to the doorbells, I’ve done three Ring Stick Up cams. Two Nest thermostats. Netgear Nightkawk R8000 router. Netgear Nighthawk C7000.

You set up a fake account with a fake info.

Take a look around at https://amazon.com/launchpad - There are enough smart devices available there.

How did you do the Nest? I have a nest and I'm complaining about random shutdowns but they really want to call me etc. Not feeling like doing this...
