Hey, I need some help selecting parts.
I need computer that I can use for gaming, a little editing, some AI development, other development and general usage for a programmer.
I am able to build it myself.
Regarding the budget, I got a budget on about $1500 US.
I currently have most of the storage I would need but an SSD(for system and games) in the budget would be nice.
I currently have an Corsair CX750M 750W PSU that could be used for this computer so that is not needed.
I also have all of the IO I need.
Also keep in mind that it will stay in my bedroom, so it will have a good amount of space. But shouldn't be too loud when idle. Also my room is quite hot.

Here's what you do.
Start off choosing your chipset. You're going to want to go with AMD (for obvious reasons). Ryzen will probably blow your budget, but Epyc would make it tight and give you outstanding performance (32 core/64 thread @3.1 ghz). I would avoid the 990FXA chipset, it's not really worth it.
If you do go with ryzen, you NEED the 1800x. I would advise building yourself a 970FX chipset build (FX-83xx CPU).
Next pick out your MB. You want one that's extended form, because you need the extra space for cards or extra storage. Personally, I'm using the 970 gaming board from MSI. It technically supports the 990FXA chipset but I like it because I have loads of PCIe ports and it has native NVMe.
After that you need to choose your cooler. This is probably the most important part of your build. AMD chips heat up, and if you're using a zen based chip (Ryzen, ThreadRipper, Epyc) the chip always targets a specific temp, and will limit you to acheive that. In my build, I'm using a 400mm radiator with 6 fans on it, and 4 case fans. I needed a special case for this. With a 970FX chip you can get away with a 200mm radiator. DO NOT GET CORSAIR.
Lastly, but more complex you need to get some storage. Make sure you do the most research on the RAM. Always buy kingston, but don't jsut buy based on size, CAS latency, and speed. There are more numbers to look at. RAM can be overclocked, so speed isn't important at all, and really CAS latency is the least important of the timings. You want to look at the following timings: CL, tRCD, tRP, tRAS, tRC. tRAS should be < tRP*3, it's ok if it's equal to that number. Dual channel and quad rank are things to look out for. If you need help with memory, ask me.
As for long term storage, always buy samsung, always buy pro tier, try to get NVMe drives (950 pro and 960 pro). DO NOT EVER BUY A NON SAMSUNG NVMe DRIVE! Intel Optane is bullshit, and whatever WD has is even worse. When picking a NVMe drive, it MUST be M-key. B-key is SATA and you won't get any benefit. B+M key is USB which is even worse.
If you do it all right, your build should be about $900. Don't skimp out on parts, either do it right or dont at all is my philosophy.

Further to this, allow for growth. Technology moves fast, so accommodate your system for future developments.
