Help with amazon refund - chunc - 01-01-2018 So i recently ordered a Ryzen 7 1700x off amazon and when it arrived it was dropped off at my front door without the delivery guy getting a signature or even knocking. I thought that it would be a perfect opportunity to pull the "didn't arrive" excuse. Told amazon support, a case was opened and then 72 hours later i was told to open a police report on the matter. I'm really not that keen on making an actual police report or fudging one, but i was just wondering if there's a way to get around this dilemma. Any help is appreciated :----) RE: Help with amazon refund - mothered - 01-01-2018 You cannot go back on what you've already discussed with Amazon. Doing so would be an admission of guilt. As It stands, they're requesting a police report based on the merit of your situation. Under the circumstances, this Is company protocol so go ahead and obtain one so they can move forward with their paperwork. Deleted - Wyvern - 01-05-2018 This post has been deleted. RE: Help with amazon refund - Elf - 01-05-2018 Doing a police report is easy, all you need to do is contact police get a case number and nothing will come of it police will say they can't do anything and if it was fulfilled by they credit you back. Just say you ordered am item from amazon, it never came and they told you to make a police report. Is there any chance its get pushed to the point where they come to my address for questions or with a search warrant? You're not under Investigation for the purpose of criminal apprehension. As I've mentioned, In this case the police report Is required as part of company procedure/protocol, nothing more. An analogy Is similar to that of a motor vehicle accident. A Police report may be filed as a point of reference- In the event there's a dispute between each party, the report can be used to substantiate the matter.
