Some quick Fibit SE Tips. - Sultaan - 12-25-2017 As you all do know, Fitbit is quite saturated, but it still works quite well and many people are doing them, with no issues, except for a higher chance of your replacement being rejected, that's all Here are some tips to look out for when you attempt to SE Fitbit 1) You want to make sure that the settings are properly adjusted before you head into a live chat, what I mean by this is, you want to make sure that before you begin a chat, you want to change the email on the account to your email, you don't need to change the name or the date of birth. 2) MAKE SURE that there are no countries selected in the settings, this will then help you as when the rep asks you for for information about your country of residence just before the offers the replacement, you don't want to say UK and the settings say Canada, make sure NOTHING is selected 3) Change little details in the account like the time zone, you can change the metric units to match your country, and you can also change the language spoken, choose the one suitable for your country CHAT TIPS 1) When your in the chat, the key is to ensure you're as kind as you can be to the rep, if you're kind and cooperative, they'll offer you better options 2) Also another key thing is always including background information as you go along, If the sync date on the account is like 4 months ago, before she asks you that you haven't synced in a while or your firmware needs updating, you can say that you used to use it for your fitness regime and it worked really well however you didn't need it anymore, so decided to put it away, and recently wanted to start again. 3) For an older sync date, they may ask you to update firmware or some crap, I just told them the fitbit isn't powering on, there's very limited troubleshoting they can do in this instance, but be creative with your excuses 4) MAKE SURE that when you're troubleshooting, you make it extra believable by saying ''could you give me a couple of minutes so that I can try this for you'', make sure you say realistic times, like if they tell you to check if the charger is properly aligned, don't say give me a couple of minutes, only take a minute or two. If they ask you to clean the golden contacts with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab, make it realistic that you're doing it, add some extra information like should I dry the contacts before I insert the charger again? If all goes well, and you follow these steps correctly, you should be offered a replacement and you'll get the link to the form in your email in like 20 minutes or so. These are my own methods, their might be similar out there so I'm not taking ownership of these, these are here just to help the community. |
