Want a free Lava Lamp? UK & US - Sultaan - 12-23-2017
I'm here sharing my method on how to get a free lava lamp, make your room look cool or just add a bit of spice into your life, please do like and give me some rep. I am new and would love some recognition around here ( This is NOT my personal method. I don't know how saturated it is but is working as of 23/12/2017. I just tried it, still works, no issues )
1: You want to go to the website lavalamp.com
2) Choose a lamp you'd like to SE. I chose something basic, nothing too high in price, just as a first time. Once you know the lamp you have, head over to contact and send them an email
3) You don't need any serial number or anything, when you email, you'll get a reply within a day, you're going to want to say It's not turning on, make sure you also say you have purchased replacement bulbs and the problem still persists.
4) You'll be asked to provide a picture and a lot number, you'll have to get out if this, I used the classic 'stationed away in the army' SE 2012 response and it worked, you can do anything, make them feel some sympathy
5) You should be asked for your address and then you'll receive your lava lamp!
* An easy excuse to get out of sending a picture of it would be to tell them that if you were to send a picture, It would only be of the lamp turned off, there's no use of sending a picture *
This works in the UK, you can follow the same steps above however when you give your address, they'll transfer you to their UK customer service, and you'll just have to talk about the replacement, they might not have the one you asked for originally in stock, but they gave me a bunch of different options to choose from.
I chose my replacement, and received it in exactly 2 days, very fast shipping.

I honestly didn't think lava lamps were still around.
I had a few back In the 90s and I'm not sure whether It's a commonality nowadays, but back then they were susceptible to leakage. In fact, I had two lamps that leaked and obtained a replacement. If It's still the case, you also/alternatively use that In your SEing.

I don’t know about the trend but no doubt a lava lamp is still cool! If anyone does want one Im dropping the method out there

Yeah. I admit, they still look awesome, my one came yesterday and I didn’t screw the bulb in properlly and when I turned it off I fused the bulb, I messaged them and they agreed to send me replacement bulbs, you can just buy them off walmart or something.
They have a ‘grande’ lava lamp. I really wanted to SE that, but just wanted to minimise the risk, so just did a standard size one
