Your Sinisterly Username - Jim Carroll - 12-07-2017

I'm always interested in knowing how one got their username, if it has a meaning behind it, if it has a history, etc...so, how did you get your username?

Jim Carroll, who sadly passed away in 2009, was a - author, poet, autobiographer, and a punk musician. He wrote a book called The Basketball Diaries, which was published in 1978. A movie related to the book was made and released in 1995, and Leonardo DiCapiro played as Jim Carroll. Great book and great movie. I'll create a review for the both in the near future.

I can't remember the alias that I used to go by, which I actually signed up with here a while back, but never actually became active at the time, but I was getting sick of it, so I was thinking of some cool usernames to have, and I went to a random word generator, and generated some stuff, and got Synth, but Synth was taken in a few places, which is were the "x" comes from.

RE: Your Sinisterly Username - Anarchist - 12-07-2017

My original alias was 'Uzi', and I was known by that name for around seven years on a variety of different message-boards, and I still am on some of them. Recently I've been going by the name of 'Anarchist', because it's clean. Nothing more to it. 'Uzi' was an alias which I chose because I liked the weapon, and was obsessed with it back in the earlier Call of Duty days.

I use random username/word generator myself sometimes - usually when creating an account for an online game. This is because most usernames I like to use are taken. I've been going by Jim Carroll for a while now though, which I've yet to come across it being taken somewhere.

RE: Your Sinisterly Username - mothered - 12-08-2017

I've had the same username In all my years of computing.

I don't remember the exact reason, but a friend of mine named me this back In high school and I've stuck with It ever since.

RE: Your Sinisterly Username - Slacker - 12-08-2017

Every since starting to use Boards way back when dial up was still a thing I have gone by Slacker.
It's really stuck and then tech nyne dropped the song and it's been a inside joke with some IRL people since

RE: Your Sinisterly Username - Sunny. - 12-08-2017

It was a sunny day when my little sister passed away from breast cancer back in 2012. I will always remember how bright the sun was shining that day, and thus, I became that day. I became sunny.

RE: Your Sinisterly Username - Blink - 12-08-2017

I really like the Ender's Game series. My favorite book as of now is Ender's Shadow, and my favorite character is Bean.
However, Bean is a weird name, so I went with Ender.

RE: Your Sinisterly Username - Altair - 12-08-2017

Altair is a star name, which name is cool. My username does not related with the Altair in Assassin's Creed game series as supposed

RE: Your Sinisterly Username - Asura - 12-08-2017

I go by various names on the net but the reason why I chose my name here is because I liked Asura's Wrath at the time and still do.
