Amazon refunding watch, empty box method - datguywelbs123 - 11-29-2017
Today I am trying to SE a watch from amazon. I have done this before and tried using the empty box method, but I am being told that they have weighed it at 5 stations and they were the same weight in each station and was correct to the listing.
What can I do?

Edit - Does returning an empty box/ weighted box still work in the UK or do amazon check the contents of the package upon receipt?

I'll tell you what buddy. @phyrrus9 is the absolute best social egineer here. I would strongly recommend sending him a pm he will help you quickly!
(Sometimes he waits to answer PM's, if you send him one every thirty minutes he will think it's urgent and answer you faster, first hand experience that @ender taught me)

I'm kind of screwed here they've asked for a police report, I'm going to have to try return the empty box/ weighted box and if that doesn't work I'll take it as a failed SE attempt :'(

Let me stop you right there. They ask for a police report once they've caught on to your theft attempts. Give up here, you've been caught, it's illegal for you to have been doing this in the first place, I hope you used a PO box and not your real address

They asked for a police report because they think that someone has tampered/ opened the package and stolen the item from it, hence the empty box.
They said they can't give me a refund or replacement without the report, does that mean I'm fucked?
