Hide closed threads from "Today's posts" - Bish0pQ - 11-08-2017 Hello everyone, So I was thinking about if a thread get's closed it shouldn't be in the today's posts anymore. Most of the time these are questions that are already answered upon anyway. It's just a little change but I think it should be easy to implement. Any opinions about this? RE: Hide closed threads from "Today's posts" - Jiggly - 11-08-2017 If a lot of people wanted this, I'd agree with it. I don't feel like it's particularly needed, since I open a lot of threads that I read, but don't comment on. Sometimes it's just interesting to see what was said. However, if it was irritating to a bunch of people, it'd be different. Would like to hear more feedback from other members. I still want to read the threads too, but not sure whether it should be included in today's post I'm not sure. I'm also not trying to say that we must do this, just want to hear everyones opinions so thank you for the feedback. For this reason alone, the solution will benefit those who're Interested. This board Isn't solely based on open threads and replies. For Informative and educational purposes, members do read threads- open or closed. If the threads are LQ and having a negative Impact on this board, I'm In support of this. RE: Hide closed threads from "Today's posts" - Bish0pQ - 11-08-2017 @mothered I agree, and maybe not entirely hide all closed threads but give an option for those who want to hide it. Like I said before though, if this would be difficult to implement it wouldn't be important enough to do it. RE: Hide closed threads from "Today's posts" - Synthx - 11-08-2017 Even if a category was added to every thread section called: "Closed Threads", that would be nice as well, as the user would look there with the thought "These must be answered questions here..." in mind! RE: Hide closed threads from "Today's posts" - Drako - 11-08-2017 It'd be a nice little addition but I don't feel like it's all that necessary. Not enough threads are closed often enough for there to be a need for this to be implemented, in my opinion at least. RE: Hide closed threads from "Today's posts" - Saikou - 11-08-2017 i can't even find the "view today's posts" page, all i see is the forum stats thing not in favor of hiding closed threads tbh RE: Hide closed threads from "Today's posts" - Bish0pQ - 11-15-2017 (11-08-2017, 10:05 PM)Saikou Wrote: i can't even find the "view today's posts" page, all i see is the forum stats thing Remember that it would be an option, so you could hide closed threads only if you wanted. I'll state the obvious. It's In the user menu at the top left of the screen. |
