Eight Killed in New York Attack - S3xySmurf - 11-01-2017
Eight people have died in another attack when a pick up truck mowed them down on a cycle path, officials are saying this is another terror attack.
Shortly after 15:00 local time (19:00 GMT), a vehicle rented from retailer Home Depot struck cyclists and pedestrians while being driven along the West St-Houston St path for many blocks
The vehicle then hit a school bus, injuring two adults and two children on board, and came to a halt
The driver emerged holding what appeared to be two handguns and made a statement "consistent with a terror attack"
He was shot in the abdomen by a police officer stationed near the scene
A paintball gun and a pellet gun were recovered from the scene

He probably saved more lives than anyone can think of, but something bothers me about this attack it appears this guy didn't even have real weapons so why would you even attempt something like this, it doesn't make sense to me unless he wanted to appear as a martyr.

If It was the result of a terrorist attack, you'd think he'd go a lot further than trying to run down civilians with a pick-up truck. Or perhaps he didn't have the resources.
Not naming anything, but you all know the devastation caused by well-planned terrorists. This Is one of many reasons I neglect to watch the news on TV. Let's hope 2018 Is a better year.

I hope they find a way to stop these attacks but some of the recent attacks just seem to be done by idiots with no apparent resources or anything to suggest they are being trained by ISIS, more like something has tipped them over the edge and they've just lost it.

I've always believed this Is the case In many Incidents.
There was a school massacre many years ago, whereby one student had a fallout with his teacher. A few hours later, he returned to not only shoot that teacher, but a dozen students as well. He then turned the gun on himself.

Hell at least he didn't bring any weapons at all. Not to be rude to the victims of the attack in the slightest but, at least this man only killed eight people and not hundreds.

It's great that no more than 8 were harmed. But seriously, what the hell? It's just like mothered said; seemingly little planning, no real weapons, and so on. I mean, he could be radicalized but I still smell lack of affiliation to any major Muslim extremist groups. It's curious.

Why is it a terror attack AND an attack by a 'sick and deranged' person? This, to me, implies that the mentally ill commit terrorist acts.
