Craigslist Warranty SE - Psilo - 10-28-2017

So I'm looking into the Warranty info SE to get a replacement item. What info is needed for a dell laptop and is this even possible? I assume I need the service tag and S/N. Also how do I proceed after I get the info necessary?

Thanks in advance!

If you need a serial I believe I can get a few for you. Although that's as far as I go since I'm not an SEing guru. There are a few other people here that a gods at SEing unlike myself. But most don't really appreciate people coming into the forums without hardly saying a thing and asking to SE a $200+ item. Sorry if I'm a bit rude however It's the truth in most cases.

I didn't even know about the forum until the day I posted. If people get butthurt over someone trying to learn and join them, then theres some issues with their psyche, especially since this sub is specifically about manipulating people.

that said, thanks for your reply. I was just curious if anyones succeeded or how people get around the return for repair shiz.

Also great avatar.

In NO way am I saying that I S.E. or anything, but I would say after you get the correct S/N/Service Tag, I would make sure to take some kind of picture of a "damaged" computer so you have some form of proof.

What he means is; that we don't really appreciate it when someone joins a forum just to ask a question and then leaves, this happens very often.

My advice; give it a try, don't follow a guide.

I didn't mean to be rude but as @Skryptec said lots of people just tend to ask a question, get an answer, and never post again. It's fine to try and learn something but do not be discouraged by what I said. Also thanks for the complement on my avatar.

That makes a lot more sense. Got an entirely different vibe from what you said. Misunderstanding.

From what I've read around, Dell are hardasses, so unless I like burn myself with a battery and have evidence of it destroying everything, it's going to be a VERY difficult sell...
