RE: need proxies - Slacker - 08-18-2017 Give me some time, I will find my old jump drive with all my cracking stuff on it. If / when I do I'll upload some tools and post some good semi public sites to grab em from. RE: need proxies - jiglord - 08-18-2017 if you are interested in a good site for dedicateds for a steal pm me. RE: need proxies - Dylan Cooper - 09-25-2018 Proxies are not secure as much as it shows, i'll suggest to move to a VPN service. Here is the review website VPNRanks.com you'll find the details of VPN service and difference between proxies and Virtual Private Network. Hope it helps. I know some claim to not do this but... seems like a risk. With proxies, though, cant you set this up so the chain does not go thru one source, or company,... or entity with control over the content where laws apply to protect them or the users? IE IF you set up a proxy chain, would that be more private? say hypothetically, you have ten friends in different countries, you would rely on your friends to provide the computers you would proxy thru, but each would be its own area to control. vs going to one company who then deals with all your traffic content.? I can see why setting up a backdoor proxy chain or botnot, even virtually if possible, could provide some type of relief. then again, I just woke up and hadn't had my breakfast, not sure if I'm just rambling scifi ideas off the top of my head, ie, this is not feasible or realistic. They can do it of course, like any device that your connection is forwarded to. It's always a risk on the internet since it was designed with trust in mind. However, the tools used depend on what you want to accomplish. Therefore, VPN's are good for encrypting and routing your traffic through a server in another country. IE IF you set up a proxy chain, would that be more private?I don't know if you can name it to be more private if you set up a proxy chain. Because proxies, like VPN's, can monitor your traffic as well. Now, it might be a lower chance that each one of the proxies monitors your traffic, but only if 1 of these proxies do that it's enough. But the advantage here is that only the entry proxy knows you IP address, thus you can say that you have a better "anonymity". Take in consideration that this is not the best way to hide your IP address. If you set up each one of their proxies you can basically make a mini Tor network so to speak. I see VPN's as another handy tool to keep in your day to day browsing. Same goes for proxies. However, I think that when you start mixing these concepts and other good surfing habits. You will gain the most anonymity that you can have. After all there is no such thing as 100% anonymous, thus you can try to develop ways to make it harder for people/corporations/governments to tamper with your data, get valuable information about you, etc. RE: need proxies - natifix - 11-04-2018 Can always use something like too? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W021tvUNv-I https://github.com/Hackplayers/4nonimizer Supposedly, to hide your IP ... just curious if you can script a program to change the IP before data packets are sent to the ISP... iirc as you request to access a site, say google, it will send packets with my address as well as address info of the destination or DNS, the DNS find the address to the actual site I wish to access. I often wonder if you can't just, if you know how to code that is, write your own protocol to inject with the established, that can run behind or hidden with the normal content. I may not know how to do things, but I do have ideas on how to do things... thus need to learn how to do them, test them and share I suppose. I have a lot to learn so thanks for sharing the details and comments. I really enjoy reading how the complexity of this all works, more so now, that I have some basic idea of how it works. There are a lot out there. But I would suggest to create your own, this way you learn along the way and maybe some crazy ideas may rise while developing. Thus it's not able to understand. Anyway, this might not be the case, so if I understand this wrong all along let me know. VPNs who mention they don't keep logs, should always be taken with a grain of salt. I've known cases, where law enforcement agencies "forced" by way of a warrant, for a VPN provider (who had a no log policy In place) to log records of all traffic. RE: need proxies - Dylan Cooper - 11-06-2018 @natifix VPNs donot keeps logs mostly those who are charging something for their services, i am not pretty much sure regarding free VPN services, they might keep the logs and activity of your data, because you're not paying anything to free vpn services, so if you are not paying for the product, then you might be the product of them. |
