Install VeraCrypt (aka TrueCrypt) on Linux OS | Tutorial - Cyber Warrior - 07-26-2017 VeraCrypt is a free disk encryption software.
During a penetration test, you will have access to sensitive client information, including exploitable vulnerabilities and copies of successfully breached data. It is the tester's legal and moral responsibility to ensure that this information in his care is secured at all times. The best means of meeting this responsibility is to ensure that all client information is encrypted during storage and transmission. And in this tutorial you'll learn how to ensure the security of those information. RE: Install VeraCrypt (aka TrueCrypt) on Linux OS | Tutorial - zorrophreak - 07-27-2017 Thanks for this share. Been using Veracrypt as my go-to encryption software so I can attest it certainly works well. RE: Install VeraCrypt (aka TrueCrypt) on Linux OS | Tutorial - Bish0pQ - 07-27-2017 Nice tutorial, this will sure as hell come in handy when I will be permantly leaving Windows 10 and moving to Arch or something similar. RE: Install VeraCrypt (aka TrueCrypt) on Linux OS | Tutorial - mothered - 07-30-2017 Once again, a fine tutorial. I've been using VeraCrypt for quite a while now on both external and boot drives. I've encrypted my externals with BitLocker (entire drive) and all data Is stored on the encrypted volume via VeraCrypt. I'm sure your experience with VeraCrypt Is similar to mine- In that It's very stable and serves It's purpose well. If an encrypted volume has been created, It may take a little time mounting/dismounting( depending on It's capacity), but other than that, It's a must-have for securing sensitive data.
