Refunding zalando? - Zubaier - 06-26-2017

I was thinking of refunding something from Zalando. The question i had was, should i go with empty box method or something else? Cause when i get it i have to give my signature etc.

A lot of companies on a large scale are aware of the empty box method. Furthermore (and generally speaking), the goods are weighed on dispatch and weights are documented In transit.

If you were to use such a method, given the fact you don't open It on receipt In the presence of the courier, the signature has no bearing. I haven't SE'd Zalando nor have I researched their TOS, protocols, guidelines and methodologies used, so without all that, I cannot provide a definitive SE method. Every entity, and I mean "every" one, Is vulnerable and susceptible to exploitation. With that In mind, I suggest you do your homework and research the company to Identify and establish exactly what you're up against. You can then formulate your SE accordingly.

what should I look for when I read guidlines, methodes, protocols etc. Im really new to this. Tbh I thought the empty box method would work, but after reading your comment, I got unsure. Do you really thing they weigh their product? I was thinking of some converse shoes.

The empty box method "may" work, but given It's a commonality In SE'ing, It's more likely to fail If the merchant has an Inkling.

In terms of their TOS etc, you need to establish exactly what their return policy Is and Identify the loophole(s) thereafter. You then target the loopholes (vulnerabilities) and apply your methodology accordingly. Regarding product weight, I cannot speak for each and every company, but a lot do weight Items on consignment. It's like when you're sending a parcel via post- for cost and tracking purposes, It's weighed and documented.

Just buy 2-3 items so it'll be in the same box. Then refund 1, maybe 2 items by saying those are not in the box. If they ask if it's damaged, just say that it doesn't look damaged, they'll end up giving you a refund as they see it as a mistake made by them.

As with most things while social engineering, just try creating an original excuse that hasn't been used a lot before. This will increase the chance you'll succeed. Also depends on the rep you're talking to.

partial refund, order 5 items, say 3 didn't come. Sign declaration form, bam refund

Should I do dna for zalando? Or is it not recommend? My package will be quite heavy so I’m not sure if partial dna will work

I refunded a jacket with the partial refund method. Basically i bought an expensive jacket and a couple of cheap items and then i said that everything arrived except for the jacket. They refundend me in a couple of days, very easy

Rather than grave digging this thread, I suggest creating one of your own.
