Im new too, Ive been using this website ... www.sololearn.com but have taken a two/three weeks from it being Im already into my first linux os and been cracking away with some apps... I figure its a good idea to learn linux now that I want to rid myself of windows and become most familiar with the non dedicated os, vms, and slowly watching cs lectures... mit has a shit load of freecourse material on youtube.
So far python seems to be a really interesting to me, I get the very very basics down thus far. I need to spend a lil time this week on some code and applying the mit lectures. yesterday I sat on my fat ass for over 7 hours watching one video on linux... I can say I like taking big chunks on info like that... idk why.

Good luck when learning. The easiest way to learn is finding a problem in your daily life and solving it through the use of python programming. You will remember the things you did in order to overcome the problem and it would come easier to you when writing other programs.

Exactly this! I have learned programming because I wanted things to be easier for me and so my interests in programming grew. It's always nice to create something you actually need.
