What about Minecraft?
I've never really played Minecraft so didn't know it was made with Java, I assume more people would know of Minecraft but I guess if you think about the fact RSC came out in like 2001 they are both close probably!

Minecraft:Mojang did not share details regarding how the 54 million figure breaks down between platforms. Minecraft is available on a multitude of systems, including Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC/Mac, iOS, Android, and Raspberry Pi. The Xbox 360 version alone has sold more than 12 million copies.
Minecraft has sold alot but then again they don't have active numbers.
One last thing Java was good for, SIM cards, then again it isn't real java just some bastardized version of it they made for SIM cards.

There are still a lot of Java developer jobs around though. Seems that the lang isn't dying any time soon. It's still widely used for IoT systems and stuff like parking meters and all that kind of crap. I even think that in the place where I work the cashier system is coded in Java might also be Python though.
