Their website says "P2P allowed" and you can pay in BTC. NordVPN looks like a legit provider. Another VPN provider I would recommend is Mullvad. Good luck!

Mullvad has a 3 hour trial period. Their rates are some of the cheap/best I've seen around. Starting out @ $5 a month. You can even send cash if you really want to cover your ass. They also require zero personal information to register.

Scamadviser usually gives a pretty good basic information about a website. Sometimes even contains reviews of users.

Don't know about making NordVPN free but I do know they have really good holiday deals where you can pick up service for a couple of $$ per month. They definitely did this at Christmas so maybe they will do it at Easter too if you can wait for that.
