SE Method item plus refund plus extra £$ - Tyke - 12-05-2016
This method can be used with most retailers, except the extras part. It is a commonly used method with a slight modification for an added bonus.
firstly you need to pick the retailer, this is optional, at this point you can pick any, but if you want the added bonus you need to pick an online retailer which also have local stores and do on most occasions consider price matching.
This is a method I thought of doing and completed recently.
In this example I will be buying some games.
I know on amazon and some other retailers the games I want are x price. The retailer I have selected is selling the games for at least £20 -£30 more than these other retailers.
So in total I choose 4 games, 3 high priced games and 1 low priced game around £10.
After the games arrive, it doesn't matter if you sign for them or not because you are going to acknowledge the parcel arrived, we are going down the route of 'where is the rest of my order'.
Call the retailer explain that a package has arrived however only 1 game was in the package (the cheapest game). tell them you have called the courier and asked if there was multiple parcels, but the courier as confirmed there was only one parcel.
You will be asked the usual questions:
1. does the package look like it as been tampered with.
Answer: No
2. was there enough room for all the games to be in the package.
Answer: No, the package was only big enough for 1 game.
These answers are important.
If you answer yes then an investigation will put in place to question the courier driver implying he was the one that tampered with the package.
Remember we are targeting the retailer, this is their fault. Not the courier or the driver.
If you need to justify this, just remember these retailers/companies evade paying hundreds of millions in taxes each year.
Most occasions the retailer will ask for a day so they can communicate with the warehouse to see if they can find the issue. If so, Call back the next day. You should be offered a replacement for the 3 games, at this point you say no. I want a refund because I have just noticed that (name of retailer) is selling the game cheaper so you want your money back.
You will now get one of two options.
1. A full refund, which is a win win
2. Replacement of the 3 games plus a partial refund of the difference, which is a win win win.
If you have been given option 1. that's it. You have successfully got 4 games for a low price of £10.
If you have been given option 2. once the 3 games arrive take them to the retailers local store with the invoice from the first parcel that arrived and get a full refund. that's it. In total you have 4 games, a full refund of the 3 high priced games, plus a partial of £20 - £30 which covers the initial cost of the cheap game plus more.
I hope people find this useful. Remember to be polite to the reps, people are so much happier to help you when you are nice to them, trust me it goes a long way.

Yep i confirm it works, i did this with a Delsey bag (130$) and a book, i just said they is only the book and there is no place in the package for the bag.
