What Is Your Opinion on The Young Turks? - 817_091_278 - 10-25-2016

I personally despise their opinions on social issues (black lives matter, police shootings, etc.) - but I agree mostly with their opinions on corruption and money in politics. I'd love to hear your guys' opinions on this.

I tend to stray away from anything too left-leaning. I don't have a good opinion of the YoungTurks at all, frankly, they annoy me.

That's not to say i'm not left-leaning myself, but I like to diversify whatever news outlets I'm getting my info from. "The Young Turks" are unofficial and unprofessionals who not only often spread misinformation but are pretty far to-the-left and often influenced by "YouTube" culture. That makes for a pretty shitty news team, and I do not at all recommend them. I used to watch The Young Turks and SourceFed alot (still think SourceFed > TheYoungTurks just because SourceFed is more objective), but have since switched to aggregating many different News Sources. Hackernews, some subreddits, New York Times, HuffingtonPost, BBC, Reuters, Worldnews, Watchdog are among some of the sources in my aggregated feed (Feedly + reddit).

Watching TheYoungTurks for news is like listening to JoeRogan for life/career advice.

If you're stuck getting news from one source, IMO at least, that's not good. It's good to view as many sides as the story as possible, because no matter what source you choose absolutely will 100% be biased/leaning toward one direction or the other. If you diversify. however, you can find a common truth among sources.

Not sure that's what you're getting at, but whatever. Basically, I think TheYoungTurks aren't reputable enough to agree/disagree with, because all they really do is comment on news (probably from some source, so that's already doubly less reputable) with their own opinions. I don't like being told what to think, i'd rather come to my own conclusions based on evidence I've found.

In my opinion, this sums It up nicely.

I have nothing to add, very well said.
