I'm not on my pc atm but when I get on it I will update this with more helpful things.
Good luck with learning java. If you don't mind me asking, what inspired you to learn java?

I'm considering writing some reference threads or tutorials since the AP Computer Science course I'm taking is taught with Java for some reason.
If you're planning to go deep with Java, I'd also highly recommend learning C#, even though it's .NET which runs exclusively on Windows. The syntax is nearly identical, but C# dives a bit into the conventions of the C family and gives you a slightly lower-level look at the system you're working on.
