powershell is coming to linux, which is gonna change the game for a lot of sysadmins out there. looks like torvalds has won.

The real question is why did they port it? IIRC Powershell was Microsoft's attempt at making more of a linux-like command line interface, which was distantly close but not enough. Why would someone want a pseudo-linux command line when they could just use a builtin shell?

The convenience of only needing to master one of the shells and allowing people who already know powershell to expand. This is interesting. I'm sure this is great news for sysadmins proficient in powershell now that the market just opened right up for them .
