Finest greetings. - VectorSEC - 07-26-2016
Hello, my name is Vector. I'm into cyber security hence the "SEC" appended to my username. I figured "Vector" would probably be in use already on a community this size. Anyway like i mentioned, i'm a cyber security enthousiast, to be specific, my main interests lay with web application penetration testing, network security, malware analysis and to a degree development as well. I'm a python programmer, know some bash for shellscripting purposes and have a working understanding of lower level languages and programming in general. That being said the field is constantly evolving and i in no way pretend to be an expert in any of these subject matters, however i do intend to share what i know, to learn and to meet some new and interesting people along the way.
Anyway, glad to be here. Tell me something about these forums. How did they came to be? I haven't heard of them before until i saw a link at an unrelated place. Also before you ask about my avatar, don't worry just a hellboy fan and what kind of bad guy is more badass than an undead nazi ninja amirite?

A little. Mostly malware analysis as a hobby. It's been awhile since I've done any, one because the folder of samples from AV companies somehow got corrupted, the other because my stand-alone test machine couldn't make the move with me. I might try and go into a pawn shop or something and get a "new" machine for that at some point.

As you'll most likely be aware, so too Is the number of vulnerabilities open to exploitation.
In my experience, I believe It's significantly Increased over the last 8-10 years or so. Just yesterday, I exploited a Pension/Superannuation fund and have access to all member's confidential Info and membership details. Images are available on request as proof, although credentials will need editing for security reasons. This just one of literally hundreds of websites and databases I've compromised (and dumped) via SQLi, In-band, namely union-based.
Anyhow, It's great to read there's a security analyst on board. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your Introduction.
