FBI plans on changing Rule 41 allowing federal global hacking - CyberOperator - 06-19-2016 https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2016/06/help-us-stop-updates-rule-41 Quote:The Department of Justice is using an obscure procedure to push through a rule change that will greatly increase law enforcement’s ability to hack into computers located around the world. It’s an update to Rule 41 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure. If Congress does nothing, this massive change will automatically go into effect on December 1. I'm not too clued up on this, especially as I'm no hacker myself. They'd more frequently hack into computers and leave more exploits in softwares to perform more surveillance as far as I understood. I'm not concerned about this to be honest. Go for it. Abuse is rampant right now in the government the way it is. I'm sure there will be advice on how to protect oneself against the surveillance after a while. |
