Canadian MPs considering changing anthem lyrics - Inori - 06-01-2016
Watch this before reading.
Personally, I'm completely against this, even as a proposition. Though it may only be one lyric, it's an anthem that's been in place and unchanged longer than the Canadian flag - old or new. It's awful that Ms. Belanger is suffering from ALS, but parliament isn't the Make A Wish Foundation.

At the end of the day I'm not that fucked about things like this. My knee jerk reaction is exactly the same as yours though, so I can sympathize with your stand point BUT what annoys me more is that a trivial issue like this can be allowed to jam up parliament. Pass it if you will but pass it quickly, lets move on to more important matters.

I agree that changes should not be made.
The anthem (In It's original form), Is a representation of the Country It was originally assigned to. I don't see the need to change something that's been serving It's purpose well (and still does) for so many decades.
