Smaller ones would be Sword Art Online, Death Note, Akame ga Kill, Owari no Seraph, Rokka no Yuusha, and like Darker than Black.

The first arc was great but after that yeah
Anyways Death Note, Steins;Gate, Akame ga Kill, Mirai Nikki, Code Geass, or Attack on Titan. Trust me I have a lot more if you need some

Sword Art Online is the pinnacle of VRMMO anime. Copycats like Log Horizon, and .hack//sign try, and fail to emulate what Sword Art Online created.

Yeah SAO's first arc was decent, I liked it. I couldn't watch afterwards though.
Code Geass is pretty rad.
I -HIGHLY- recommend Soul Eater.
