Black Desert Online is a Korean sandbox-oriented massively multiplayer online role-playing game. I've been playing it recently and i'm enjoying it so far. The things that most interested about the game is the guild vs guild pvp battles. You have massive guild vs guild battles with as much as 100 vs 100. Also unlike many other mmorpgs the cash shop has no pay to win items which give you an advantage in pvp. Although many say the character creator is one of the best, i hate how classes are gender locked. Any one here playing it?

It has really good reviews. I've had bad luck with Korean MMOs, though. It always seems like they get bought out and lack a dedicated playerbase. Am I wrong about this one?

Played in all the beta tests and it was really fun, though the main reason I didn't end up buying it is the end game grind that is Korean MMOs. I don't have the 8 hours daily needed to play the end game and get +15 gear and grind the soft-cap just so that I don't get 1 shot by a no life grinder in whatever guild I'm PvPing against.

So far it's pretty populated, and I doubt Daum will be dropping it anytime soon, though whether the playerbase sticks, who knows.

The game was just released so there is a lot of players currently. I think its great right now but i would have said the same thing about Archeage then it turned to shit.

I might decide to play if I hear more great things about it. I'm hesitant to pick up more MMOs.

Im the same i love the genre but too often developers and company's mess them up. Hopefully this wont be the case with black desert because the combat in this game is awesome.

I just purchased it yesterday and I'm really enjoying it so far. The only problem is that there is so much to learn so it can be really confusing and hard to get into but other than that I think it's a really cool game. It's really the first fantasy MMO I've played.

Yeah the node thing confused me a lot when i first started but i enjoy games with a nice learning curve.
