This is to prevent virus enters the USB key, or the key is damaged
This is mainly to prevent the spread of viruses through USB

This is a nice share! I could actually probably share this with my mother, who is always paranoid about viruses, and scans her computer at least once a day.

You post good quality tutorials, my friend. I have one recommendation, though -
I have noticed that sometimes your tutorials don't explain exactly what the program you're teaching us how to use actually does. It might be obvious to you, but some people might not download the program if they don't know everything it does first. Cheers!

Simply stated, this makes changes to the Registry correct?

Namely by navigating to the following Registry hive (directory): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control

Then creating a new key named "StorageDevicePolicies" and a DWORD (under that key) named "WriteProtect". By assigning It a value of "1", any USB device Inserted to the PC on which this setting has taken place, will be write-protected.

Nice share, shocked I never saw this. Also, if this is how this works, is it only applicable to this computer?
