Songs with memories - ImmNinjaxD - 01-20-2016
This song.
Bare bones, it kinda reminds me of one of the many Pokemon games I used to play as a child. It's strange, but interesting.
Personally, it brings back memories of all the times I've walked home from school during finals week. My house is ~2 hours walk, and finals week is usually ~90 degrees F, so it's kind of a struggle for someone skinny like me, but it's a struggle I enjoy. Dirt blowing in my eyes, sweat dripping down my face, the cool refreshing water rushing down my throat - it's all there, in this tiny little song. It's like a right of passage to me for some reason, and walking home is a pretty arbitrary activity, but the roads I travel down remind me of it every time.
What are songs that bring up memories in you?

I don't really have songs that have memories, but I do listen to certain songs, depending on how I feel.

I think I associate songs with memories because I'm the type of person who can listen to a song/artist on repeat for days at a time, and usually while doing a certain thing. I have a lot of old songs that I remember jamming to while playing games I haven't played in years.

This is the only song where when I'm so depressed I could just end it all, when I play it, that all disappears. For some reason its sad tone always finds a way to my heart and snaps it back to reality.

This song reminds me of the introduction that I had to melodic death metal. It's still one of the best songs in my library.

This is really tranquil, I like it. Reminds me of a song I found years ago called "Dreaming" but could never find the song again.
