Navy life. - Agony - 09-28-2015
Sucks.
Anyway, I've been on leave for nearly 2 weeks now. I have to head back to California pretty soon. I've had a good time though. Anyways, point of this thread-
Don't join the military. You can better your life by just going to college. This sucks and it's lead me to bitch about it on forums.
What's your guys take on the military?

College isn't great either. In fact, after transferring, I'm stuck taking a bunch of liberal arts classes to fulfill new requirements. I won't compare it to the military at all, although I'll definitely say being a college student has its own set of challenges.

I bet it does, but at least you don't have those challenges with a bunch of ignorant self-centered assholes above you telling you what to do.

I respect all branches of the military but I think the navy and airforce is for pussies. I'm in the marines and it's alright. I ship out to somewhere in the desert pretty soon.

Saying these branches are for pussies is a little bold if you ask me, they both serve a purpose that is necessary. The Navy even helps the marines in some cases.
Also without the Air Force the US would never stand a chance in any modern day war. Also they provide air cover for the marines.

I know that, I was just over exaggeratorating. It was my choice to join the marines anyways.

I like the military and believe in national service, I think if everyone did it, we'd be better off as a whole.

Just as a matter of Interest, what's so bad about the military?
I've heard stuff here and there, but It's good to read something based on first-hand experience.
