YouTube Gaming - Exkr - 08-27-2015 So, recently a couple of hours ago YouTube Gaming was release and now you can watch player live streaming, basically Twitch. Quote:GOOGLE’S STRIVING TO make its services more stream-friendly with Youtube Gaming, a new games-centric site launched today. Designed as a direct competitor to Twitch, it puts streaming front and center while also functioning as a new launchpad for the extensive Let’s Play and general gaming library already on YouTube. I’ve been spending some time with the new set-up, and it’s pretty nice. Twitch might have its work cut out for it. - Wired.com (http://www.wired.com/2015/08/youtube-gaming/)
How do you think it will compare to Twitch and will you be using it? RE: YouTube Gaming - Bitcoin - 08-27-2015 I'll stick to watching Twitch, Twitch is much more effective as you can also quickly stream on consoles. It's only just launched but you can/will be able too stream on consoles as well as companion apps for iOS and Android. Eh, I think people will still stick to Twitch, people like SooSuperior and Pamaj. RE: YouTube Gaming - BlueScreen - 08-27-2015 Its absolutely shit so far. They have their automated copyright strike thing activated on recorded streams. People who use it actively sometimes get 2-5 flags per stream for in-game music and other sources of music they can't account for live. People also don't get paid for streaming on there, which is what makes so many people use twitch. The UI is also kind of shit and it seems to be kind of slow at the moment. RE: YouTube Gaming - Inori - 08-27-2015 I love twitch (I have the flag on my Rocket League car) but I'll check it out. (Brownie Points for having LoL in your screenie )
RE: YouTube Gaming - DarkKnight - 08-27-2015 Most gamers will still use twitch to live stream, I guarantee you that. RE: YouTube Gaming - Customer - 08-27-2015 Tbh, isn't the youtube player way faster than twitch's player? I'm going to keep an open mind about this one. If people can easily make money from it then I'm sure it will grow pretty fast and probably overtake Twitch. RE: YouTube Gaming - Mizumato - 08-27-2015 Glad to see other companies reaching out and providing services for streaming. I just watched my friend's Twitch stream from my Facebook page rather smoothly. |
