Smite - krozy - 06-23-2015

Smite is a third person MOBA based on Gods & Goddesses in pre/existing mythology. It's free-to-play and currently in its second season.

What's your opinions on this game? Do you enjoy it? Do you dislike it for a specific reason?
_____________

For me, Smite is something I enjoy avidly. I find it to be addicting and its third person point-of-view being added to a MOBA makes it something interesting. However, I find that people prefer the heavily populated League of Legends instead.

Share your insight and give me a good reason for why you like/dislike so we can turn it into a conversation.

I personally don't play Smite but I've heard good things about it from friends who do play it
I play MOBA's like League of Legends and the first DOTA
Smile

Smite is a game that needs to have a very decent understanding of mechanics and items to survive in that cruel world. Want to play a new god? Don't expect a very high score. I enjoyed my time playing it but it's definitely not my favorite. PC is broken at the moment but add me if you get the chance: m0dals0ul (I think)

If you like MOBAs then give Smite a try. It's even better when you hook up with friends as well.

With Smite's recent update for Season 2 providing a decent autobuild update giving conquest meta builds, I'd say it's a bit more beginner friendly at first. Due to it being a competitive game, you can expect smurfs just like any other game.

As for mechanics and items, I'd agree with it but I don't believe it's that hard to master. As with any other MOBA, you must understand your character before you can play at an exceptional level.

I'll add you next time I'm online.

Who do you play? I'm an Anubis and Chaac main (but I haven't played for 3-4 months now lmao)

I play practically any god after approx. 6 months of playing (few exceptions to 'any'). My main is currently support role and I personally love Bacchus and Aphrodite.

Yea I've been thinking about it but I like playing that first DOTA to improve my skills first. In due time I will go to smite Smile

RE: Smite - Inori - 06-24-2015

I'm more of a LoL summoner, myself (yes, it's salty as fuck, but it's a good game with lots of support with a huge following), but I've played a bit of smite.

I'm almost guaranteed a few Deicides if I play He Bo, Ra, or Anubis

Imo, be it harsh, Smite players are generally less skilled than those who play League (excluding Bronze). The fact that I can step into most games and walk away with a KDA that could make LoL pros drool is kinda sad :/

Probably if you are comparing lower level players. I can gaurantee that you didn't hit lv 30 yet if you're walking away with a beautiful KDA. If your ELO is great and you're lv 30, and you still walk away with a good KDA, you might as well enter professional smite and start earning money.

If you are comparing lower level, I would have to agree. Considering Smite welcomes the community of a casual playerbase (especially with it's [i believe smart] reach to Xbox 1), it allows for less skilled players entering the game. However it is arguable that lower level league players aren't exactly new.

You have a myriad of good points there, but even when I created my League account (I seem to have the gift of good ELO all around, getting matched with gold and up right off the bat), I faced better players.
