Useful site collections - Inori - 04-05-2015

Every once in a while, you come across that gem of a site that you never knew you needed and now you use it 20 times a day, every day.

I have a few (that I'll share below) but I want to know some of yours.

(@S-Mods and Onion; I think I have a thread like this that didn't get merged. Top 100 useful sites or something?)

My go-to's:
http://goo.gl - link shortener; no bullshit ads
http://www.streampocket.com - best soundcloud/youtube/spotify ripper out there
http://www.wikipedia.com - I'm a student, 'nuff said.
http://www.ruby-docs.org - My main source for ruby help
http://www.stackoverflow.com - Awesome, fast help for any code-related problems.

Here is my list:
http://sigaint.org - In my opinion it is the best e-mail provider for Tor users.
http://moddb.com - A good sight for finding good games, both free and ones to buy.
http://pandora.com - A good sight for listening to music and finding new music. (I've actually never used this until recently, now I use it all the time lol)
http://store.steampowered.com - A website for buying games and software. I signed up last year only so that I could play Skyrim, but now I use it for a lot of free games they have.

por----- I mean uhm...

but a really cool one is
Codepen.io - useful for web designers wanting to learn how to incorporate CSS HTML and Javascript together, also has a live view feature.
Plug.dj - A fun "turntable-esque" website, allowing you to use playlists in a lobby, taking turns playing a song of choice.

I will add more when I figure more out.

Wikipedia is unreliable...

Not really true. Has a base of active users who are verified. Has an anti-deface bot. Has moderation, and peer review. Just because your teacher thinks its unreliable =/= it being unreliable. Sources are cited, and when they aren't, shit gets deleted. With the exception of creation, generally you can't even deface pages more than once. And as frequently as the pages are locked, you might not even be able to modify it in the first place. What is unreliable is to use it as a source, because it updates, therefore will not contain the exact same information as it once did.
That's why you use Wikipedia's sources.

I concur. It's a massive community of people constantly working together to provide accurate content. It's a shame they're denounced by the educational establishment because of a few people defacing it.
