Brawler - Brawler - 03-11-2015

Hello Everyone, my name is brawler and I am new to this forum.

About myself:
  • I do webapp pentesting as a profession and as a hobby
  • I'm attempting to learn more about exploitation and malware development, but I'm still ramping up my knowledge of it.
  • I love reading just about anything.... Some of my favorite reads include: "Mastery" (by Robert Greene) and "The Kingkiller Chronicles" (by Patrick Rothfuss)

I'm hoping to find a good community to share some of my passions with. Cool

Welcome, you and I should get along.

Sweet!

Any recommendations on sub-forums that I should check out?

By the looks of it, the hacking section doesn't seem terribly active anymore.

Yeah, the people that are actually knowledgeable don't really post anything there sadly.

^^I'll see if there's anything I can touch on.

Welcome, Brawler! This is a fantastic community made up of-as far as I can tell-geniuses with creativity.

If you're looking to develope malware, I think we could spitball ideas. Not that I'm all that. Of course.

I'm sure you've looked at keyloggers and how they work? I'd guess that it's a good start. [emoji5]

I think keyloggers fall more inline with developing payloads, but I wouldn't be opposed to doing that as well! Smile

So far what I have been looking into in my spare time would be more along the lines of using a fuzzer and debugger to find and exploit software.

I like you, but why in the fuck would keyloggers ever fall inline with developing payloads?

RE: Brawler - Brawler - 03-12-2015

A keylogger is a payload in my eyes.... Its what you would load onto a machine after you exploit the machine in some way/shape/form.

Am I wrong on this? 0.o
