Internet Symptoms - Eclipse - 02-19-2015 Has anyone ever noticed that if you Google the symptoms that you're feeling, the internet will tell you that you've got cancer and/or you're dying. I've been randomly vomiting since last night, and apparently I have pancreatic cancer, which is good to know. RE: Internet Symptoms - Wave - 02-19-2015 Well yeah, the internet tends to exaggerate things. I guess it's good to be over worried than under worried, though. RE: Internet Symptoms - roger_smith - 02-19-2015 This entirely. I've taken to never googling my symptoms because it always ends with me having cancer, or HIV, or dabeetus, or heart disease, or some other terrible thing. RE: Internet Symptoms - Oni - 02-20-2015 Yeah... The internet can be misleading when it comes to illnesses/diseases. With Google, a lump on your head means brain cancer. E.g., she thought she was having a food allergy attack cos her face was flush at a Chinese restaurant, which ended up just being her salt was out of balance. She about forced herself to throw up cos of it. RE: Internet Symptoms - roger_smith - 02-20-2015 (02-20-2015, 05:24 AM)Six Wrote: Not really. RE: Internet Symptoms - OversouL - 02-20-2015 I agree with this, I was pooping blood last time and googled the symtoms, I was nervous as hell when I read that I might have colon cancer. Anyway, the things you google shouldn't really be trusted, but to be considered. The proper way to approach an ailment is to just go get a check up. RE: Internet Symptoms - proton0s - 02-20-2015 Because of that the doctors always tell you to not get advises from the internet when you are ill. |
