What do you think about the sequester? The airline delays are insane this week.
Here is my take. Both parties are at fault. However, the sequester was President Obama's idea, and the White House has said this already. Republicans went along with the idea and are just as guilty. We need a balanced budget now!

They just want to give less money to the people while keeping their own salaries.
Honestly, i'm okay with any budget cuts except for: Fire/police departments, Education, and the Military.

And most of the media are either too dumb to know the truth or in someones back pocket from ideology. Really stinks that we get so little accurate information and the vast majority do not even know or care!

It seems to me that the President made sure that the things that he cut with the sequester, are the things that make life harder for the most Americans. My daughter works for a private contractor, that contracts for the government;and she said even though the workers hours have all been cut, and they are even doing layoffs, the building where she works is being totally remodeled.
They cut out the air traffic controllers, but are still spending money for grants and other things that could have been held off.
Look at the Presidents speech to Planned Parenthood.... He just told them not to worry about funding cuts, and they are behind PP all the way.... But then he says now, kids will have to be taken out of Preschool. He talks about social security cuts for us old folks, but no cuts for the illegals that are here and getting welfare benefits.
It really seems like he wants to cause the most consequences possible for people taking the sequester, and not giving in to what he wanted, with more money to spend.

Actually the sequester wasn't Obama's idea. Its a law that has been on the books for several years. Obama tried to warn Congress that if they didn't reach an agreement that the sequester could happen. They refused to heed his warnings. However, it wasn't something he created, but something that has been placed in effect when Congress remains in grid lock for a long time.
