Spicy Food - Oni - 01-08-2015

Got some Popeyes tonight, after hearing about Popeye's Ghost Pepper wings. Like all the reviews and articles said, they weren't much spicier than their "spicy" wings. I honestly think the gumbo I had yesterday was spicier. Personally, I thought they were good, but not that much better than their regular stuff. Normally I like my food a little spicy, but nothing crazy. I will definitely try a Ghost Pepper at some point in my life. Pretty sure I'll cry like a bitch when I do, too.

What about you guys? Like spicy food? What's the spiciest thing you've had?

Begone, peasant! You are banished to the realm of @Jiggly and other miscreants that can't appreciate a bit of spicyness in their meals.

I eat spicy food in phases. I'm in a bit of a spicy phase right now and had myself some Mango Habanero salsa tonight w/ nachos. It was pretty tasty and a little painful. Good stuff. I also loaded my subway up with jalapenos 2 days ago. yum.

I have some of this sitting in my pantry

I like spicy food to a certain extent. If it's too spicy, I'm out.
Occasionally I will have chips and salsa or spicy burritos (yes I love Tex-Mex), but that's about it.

I tried a Ghost Pepper a few years ago and It was intense. I even 'trained' myself by eating lots of spicy foods leading up to the day when the Ghost Peppers arrived but it was still crazy. I started getting really bad stomach pains and my mouth was on fire, so I ended up chugging like 2 cartons of milk. 10/10 experience.

Occasionally I'll have some super spicy stuff, just to give it a try. I agree, though. No point in eating anything too spicy.

There comes a point where it's just hot. No flavor, just pure hot.

When I worked in restaurants we had some stuff called Pure Cap. It was some hard core stuff.

We tricked a guy into eating a dropper full of it (yes, it comes in a pill bottle with a dropper bottle inside it) and he legitimately thought he was going to die.

OMG. I love you even more. I have Renfro salsa on almost all of my meals. Mango jalapeƱo is damn good but spicy.
