Inside The Dark Web - Yung Lean - 09-09-2014

Hello, HC members. I have watched this 1 hour documentary about Dark/Deep Web. I found it very interesting so decided to share it with you. I would recommend to watch this for beginners that are interested in this kind of stuff.

While watching the video I made some notes to write what this video will cover so:
• How easily people can be traced how advertising system works and how companies sell people information to make profit from other companies.
• How "Tor" works, how it was created, Who created it, What influence it has on security/anonymity. Advantages and Disadvantages of it (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onion_routing)
• Look in to Dark/Deep Web. How was "Silk Road" site taken down. How "Tor" increases cyber crimes and how Bitcoins are used in Dark/Deep Web
• Kaspersky Lab ideas on Internet passports/IDs and other securities.
• Small bit on how ICANN works https://www.icann.org
• Also a small bit on encryption.

I'd be glad to hear out your thoughts and opinions about Security, Anonymity, Dark Web. What influence it will have in further future.

I also wanted to ask those who are more experienced with this.
Question: What other alternatives to "Tor" would you recommend?
Also - Is CyberGhost a decent software is it worth using it?
Your recommendations and more.

*Note
Sorry If I made this thread in the wrong section. I did not found any section for documentaries or such thing. If I'm wrong please move my thread to the right section.
Thank you.

This is a pretty great video for beginners, I even watched most of this. The only thing stopping me is I have to go run some errands, I'll finish it up later.

That was enjoyable although a few sections made me laugh. I love how cool and "hacker" like checking a file checksum and unmounting a cd is (don't forget creating log files ooohhh). Also "when I hit yes the [word] will be signed" but it's an empty prompt after unmounting a cd -insert dramatic trumpet-.
