Python or C++ - kiro1997 - 08-21-2014 Hello HackCommunity, I want to ask you what should be better to start learning Python or C++,i know they're both programming languages and im confused because you can make the same programs, scripts etc, in both languages (i think). Also i've got one more question: As i saw there are many programming languages like Python,C++,C#,C, and i can't realize what is the difference in all of this programming languages when you can make same programs in each of them . Thank you. RE: Python or C++ - Netero_mybb_import16981 - 08-21-2014 Hola and welcome ![]() I recommend reading This & This They will give you a rough idea of what programming languages is + some links to beginner tutorials on some languages. Regarding why there are so many languages, because each language has its powerful areas & responsible for different things. Some of the languages are best for Graphical work (games), others are powerful for network activity ...etc Now when you say Python or C++ , I recommend Python although I haven't used it but as far as I read it is a powerful/easy to learn language

RE: Python or C++ - h3r0 - 08-21-2014 As an absolute beginner I suggest learning python. C++ introduces a lot of issues that a beginner shouldn't have to worry about. All programs have sleight differences and are used for different things. You wouldn't want to have a web server running C++, well I mean that would be cool but not very manageable. But there aren't a whole lot of things in other languages that you couldn't accomplish in python. Eventually you will start asking "What language completes this task better" and that's when things get really interesting. RE: Python or C++ - Reaper_mybb_import6988 - 08-21-2014 If you have little to no experience with programming I highly recommend python. It's a strong and fun language and once you've picked it up it'll be a lot easier for you to pick up others. (C++ if you like) I'm learning python right now and I absolutely love it, I can only recommend it

RE: Python or C++ - Cosh - 08-21-2014 When I was learning I first started with java in university, now I'm teaching myself python. I think you should do python since it seems a lot easier, in my opinion than C+. Python just seems more to the point, with C+ you have overflow and stuff if i'm not mistaken. Seems like it can be a pain if you're not very experienced. RE: Python or C++ - Cosh - 08-21-2014 When I was learning I first started with java in university, now I'm teaching myself python.
